Patrick, our founder and CEO, has started developing the freshmeat.net software archive back in 1997. In 1999, freshmeat.net got acquired and is now a wholly owned part of the Open Source Technology Group among Slashdot and SourceForge.Net.
limited overload has since provided code maintenance of the freshmeat.net codebase as well as editorial services for the web site. Currently, a major rewrite of the code powering the site is underway.
